The Sub Regional Office, Madurai is one of the field offices of the ESI Corporation initially entrusted with the administration of the ESI Scheme in nine Southern revenue districts of Tamil Nadu. After the bifurcation of Tirunelveli SRO, in Jan 2006, SRO Madurai is now looking after the administration of ESI Scheme in Dindigul, Madurai, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Sivakasi, Theni, and Virudhunagar districts. Under SRO Madurai, 14 Branch Offices and 6 pay offices are functioning for the disbursements of cash benefits to ESI Beneficiaries. The SRO is headed by the Director/Additional Commissioner.
